What is a psychopractitioner therapist?
The term psychopractitioner refers to professional therapists who practice therapies focused on psychological support.
Be careful not to confuse them with psychotherapists because this title has been protected in France since 2010. From now on, only psychotherapistsdoctors and psychologists who have completed additional training in psychopathology, supplemented by a 5-month internship, can obtain the status of psychotherapist.
A psychopractitioner is not a psychologist either. A psychologist must have obtained a master's degree in psychology from university to use this title. A psychiatrist is a doctor specializing in mental health. In particular, he is the only one who can prescribe medications.
Are psychotherapy sessions reimbursed?
For the moment, in France, therapy sessions are not covered by Social Security.

How long does therapy last?
It is difficult to answer this question as everyone's issues and life stories are different and depend on multiple factors.
For apsychotherapy, the aim of the first meetings is to get to know each other and to address the difficulties you experience on a daily basis.
Depending on these first interviews, different avenues of work may be chosen together. The objective of therapy remains the patient's well-being, the absence of daily suffering and their autonomy.
Concerning a family constellation consultation, it is considered a brief therapy. Your problem can generally be worked on in a single session. But sometimes a single session is not enough and also, some people come back later to work on another problem.
What about confidentiality regarding the comments and data you entrust to me?
The content of the consultations I carry out is strictly confidential. This is an essential point for the smooth running of the sessions.
In France, professional secrecy, to which I am subject as a therapist, is governed by article 226-13 of the Penal Code. It stipulates its obligatory nature for any person holding information of a secret nature because of their state or their profession.
Although very rare, there is an exception when a person is in serious and immediate danger. In this case, I must discuss it with the person(s) concerned before any action and the information disclosed would be limited to what is strictly necessary for the protection of the person in danger.
My notes and all the information I hold about my clients are rigorously protected. On a legal level, I must respect the general data protection regulation (GDPR), like all therapists.
In addition, each supported person can at any time ask me to consult their client file and all the information I have in my possession concerning them.
